About Freshflow

€72 billion worth of fresh food is wasted every year in European grocery retail. Freshflow is building the AI Operating System for the Fresh Food Supply Chain — starting with ordering and inventory optimization for fresh produce departments.

We work with some of the largest retailers in Germany and France — EDEKA, REWE, Carrefour, Intermarché, and E.Leclerc — reducing waste by ~24% while improving on-shelf availability. We're growing revenues 400% year-over-year, backed by World Fund and Capnamic, and just getting started.

What we're looking for

Freshflow is looking for a motivated HR & Administration Working Student who enjoys a fast-paced start-up environment and wants to make a real impact. You'll support our team across HR and administrative topics, helping with people operations, recruiting coordination, onboarding, internal processes, and day-to-day office administration. This is a hands-on role where you'll gain practical experience in HR, administration, and start-up operations — while contributing directly to Freshflow's growth. This is a 6-month working student contract with the opportunity to work alongside an ambitious and remote-first team of 20 people. The position is fully remote in Germany, 10–20 hours per week.

Responsibilities

  • Taking ownership of administrative and operational tasks.
  • Assisting with employee onboarding and offboarding processes.
  • Working with HR platforms.
  • Supporting the organization of team events and company activities.
  • Preparing, sharing, and tracking contracts and documents.
  • Supporting bookkeeping and invoicing processes.
  • Communicating with our external accounting team.
  • Conducting research on HR, operations, and administrative topics.
  • Helping improve internal processes and documentation.
  • Supporting initiatives that strengthen company culture.
  • Recruiting and conducting interviews.
  • Jumping in wherever needed in a fast-moving startup environment.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Currently in the final semesters of a degree in HR, Psychology, Social Sciences, Management, or a related field.
  • At least 6 months of experience in HR, administration, office management, and/or organizational work.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Reliable, proactive, and able to work independently.
  • Fast learner with a strong desire to grow in the HR field in a dynamic startup environment.
  • Hands-on mindset and willingness to get things done quickly.
  • Adaptable and comfortable working in a quickly changing startup environment.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Fluent in English; German is a plus.
  • A go-getter attitude and startup spirit.
