About Freshflow

€72 billion worth of fresh food is wasted every year in European grocery retail. Freshflow is building the AI Operating System for the Fresh Food Supply Chain — starting with ordering and inventory optimization for fresh produce departments.

We work with some of the largest retailers in Germany and France — EDEKA, REWE, Carrefour, Intermarché, and E.Leclerc — reducing waste by ~24% while improving on-shelf availability. We're growing revenues 400% year-over-year, backed by World Fund and Capnamic, and just getting started.

What we're looking for

Freshflow is seeking a driven Growth Manager to play a pivotal role in one of our most important commercial milestones to date. We've just won one of the largest German grocery retail chains as a customer — and we're now in the early-rollout phase across several dozen stores that will determine whether we get rolled out to a four-digit number of stores afterwards. You'll work directly with our VP Operations to own the customer-facing side of this launch and make sure it succeeds. This is a 6-month engagement starting ASAP through end of year, with a high degree of autonomy, real commercial impact, and the opportunity to thrive in a creative, fast-moving startup environment.

Responsibilities

You are the CEO of your own role. Below you find the outcomes you need to own.

You will need to build your own systems on top of our existing systems to keep track of what matters. You will closely spar with the VP Operations on how to do that, but you have the radical ownership.

  • Own the customer outcome during the early-rollout phase: make sure customers understand the app, use it well, and — as the ultimate outcome — measurably reduce food waste in their stores.
  • Closely monitor how customers are using our software and pro-actively reach out to those whose usage patterns suggest they need support; lead retraining sessions and rebuild trust where needed.
  • Be the direct point of contact for our customers and take full ownership of their satisfaction and success.
  • Track the development of customer KPIs in detail. Celebrate wins with customers to keep them excited and engaged.
  • For customers who aren't seeing positive results, work closely with our internal Data Science team to get to the root cause, then independently engage the customer to explain the findings and co-develop a solution.
  • Stay in close contact with all participating stores to understand their sentiment on the ground and actively drive solutions that delight customers.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Completed Bachelor's degree.
  • Native German speaker.
  • You love independence and complexity in your work.
  • Creative chaos doesn't scare you — it energizes you. You do your best work in this kind of environment.
  • Strong empathy and the ability to relate to people from diverse backgrounds.
  • Prior experience in customer success, account management, or consulting is a plus.
