Freshflow raises €6.5 million to bring the first AI for Fresh Replenishment to every grocery aisle in Europe.

Big news! Freshflow has successfully secured €6.5 million in new funding to accelerate roll-outs of the first AI platform in Europe built for grocery retailers' fresh departments. The round is led by World Fund, with Capnamic, Venture Stars, Caesar Ventures and Catatumbo Capital all doubling down on their previous investments in Freshflow.

Rocket-fuelled by retailer success

The funding round comes on the back of extremely fast growth in Freshflow’s retail customer base and a stream of glowing references from leading French and German grocers.

Fresh produce departments using Freshflow's AI for their daily ordering have experienced a sales uplift of 2–5%, as well as a food waste decrease of 20%+.

These successes have created a wave of inbound demand from retailers that the company is now gearing up to meet with this new funding.

Built for the neglected, chaotic heart of the store: fresh departments

Existing forecasting and replenishment tools crack under the chaos of fresh departments — loose berries, two-day shelf lives, unreliable inventories, local suppliers, messy PLU data — forcing produce managers to still order manually, based entirely on intuition. This leaves grocers with out-of-stocks, higher waste and an extreme dependency on finding experienced produce managers. Freshflow flips that script:

With fresh capital in hand, we’re significantly accelerating product development and expanding Freshflow’s team. We’ve already grown from 15 to 30 team members over the past year, now planning to hit 50 this year.
